My Design Journey
Hi again—I’m Annie, a multidisciplinary designer based in Oakland and open to work throughout the Bay Area.
I studied Design at UC Davis, graduating with honors, and expanded my creative perspective through a study abroad program in Europe (London, Scotland, and the Netherlands). My experience there sparked a love for spatial and cultural storytelling—something that still shapes how I approach design today.
After college, I joined the marketing and communications team of a public charter school district. Over the years, I grew from an administrative assistant into a trusted content creator and webmaster—managing the district’s public website, staff intranet, and all social media platforms. I also served as the district’s photographer, videographer, and graphic designer—creating everything from flyers and graduation diplomas to multi-page brochures and monthly magazines, all within tight brand systems.
What I Love About Design
I’m drawn to work that brings clarity to complex information. Whether it’s a fire evacuation map, an interactive digital layout, or a community-focused magazine, I design with the user in mind—making sure every piece feels purposeful, accessible, and people-first.
I’m especially excited about wayfinding, exhibition design, and UI/UX—fields where design meets space, storytelling, and interactivity.
Let’s Connect
I'm currently open to full-time roles—especially ones that blend design, communication, and social impact.
