Overview:
This product photography study explores the challenges of capturing clean, controlled imagery of reflective consumer technology devices, including the Apple MacBook Pro (M4) and Apple iPhone 14 Pro.

Unlike matte or textured objects, both devices feature highly reflective surfaces, particularly the screens, which introduced challenges related to glare, unwanted reflections, and loss of detail. This project focused on developing techniques to manage these constraints while maintaining a clean, professional aesthetic aligned with technology product imagery.

Through careful adjustments in lighting direction, camera positioning, and product angle, I minimized reflections and maintained visual clarity across each shot. Rather than relying on a single composition, I explored multiple angles to better showcase key product features while controlling how light interacted with each surface.

The final image set emphasizes clarity, structure, and material quality, balancing technical accuracy with visual presentation. Subtle post-production adjustments were applied to refine contrast, correct reflections, and ensure consistent tone across the series, while preserving a natural and realistic look.

This study reflects my ability to approach product photography with both technical problem-solving and visual sensitivity, particularly when working with reflective materials common in consumer electronics.

What I Did:

• Lighting Control:
  Used natural light with diffusion and reflective surfaces to manage glare and reduce unwanted reflections on screens and glossy finishes

• Angle Exploration:
  Tested multiple camera and product angles to control reflections and highlight key features without compromising clarity

• Product Focus (Laptop):
  Captured detail shots of the keyboard, trackpad, display, and thin profile of the Apple MacBook Pro (M4), emphasizing structure and usability

• Product Focus (Phone):
  Highlighted the triple-camera system, edge profile, and overall form of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro, with attention to reflective surfaces and precision details

• Post-Production:
  Refined images in Adobe Photoshop by correcting exposure, reducing glare, cleaning imperfections, and enhancing edge definition

• Visual Consistency:
  Maintained a cohesive look across all images through consistent lighting, color balance, and composition

This project strengthened my ability to work with reflective materials and reinforced the importance of lighting control, angle selection, and subtle post-production in product-focused visual storytelling.
